Attention Assisted Living Administrators - Changes to Continuing Education Requirements

IHCA-ICAL received a letter from the Idaho Board of Residential Care Facility Administrators on October 18, 2012 stating the following:

"The Idaho Board of Residential Care Facility Administrators met on October 11, 2012 and discussed continuing education programs. Concerns were voiced about credit being given for tradeshows. This does not meet the requirements in Rule 401.02 that states the course must be relevant to residential care facility administration.

IHCA-ICAL Grassroots Action Center

What is voterVOICE?
voterVOICE  is an online tool IHCA-ICAL uses to implement a smart, proactive approach to governmental affairs. IHCA-ICAL uses voterVOICE to keep supporters and association members up to date on political issues, pro-actively drive supporters to participate in the political process, and accurately monitor grassroots activities. This new tool allows IHCA-ICAL staff to communicate to you important items on our legislative agenda that require your ATTENTION and ACTION! It is also an easy approach to connect constituents with their legislators.

AHCA Quality Award

AHCA Quality Award

As the health care market becomes ever more consumer-driven, long-term care residents and their families, as well as payers and regulators, are looking for quantifiable indicators of quality. The AHCA Quality Award was created in 1996 to respond to this need and to better reflect the growing trends in quality management and performance measurement.

Image IHCA-ICAL has chosen Silverchair Learning Systems External link icon as its preferred online training provider, bringing our members effective training solutions that will help improve operations and reduce costs.

This partnership gives members access to a highly effective and affordable turn-key learning program that delivers, tracks, and reports on educational programs for their entire organization. Silverchair’s training program provides a complete curriculum of in-service and regulatory courses required by CMS and OSHA, as well as important resident care topics that specifically address the needs of senior care providers and their employees. The program can also be customized to include material specific to an organization.
